Subodh Chandra Mullick is one of the oldest sweets (misti) shops in kolkata and is amongst the most renowned as well. Situated in Ram Dulal street near Bethune college, the shop offers a variety of sweets. There are several varieties of sondesh and the special red colored North Kolkata Darbesh available for Rs.5 & Rs. 10 a piece. The chanar jilipi tastes really good too and is quite soft. They also have kalo jamun, sitabhog, and bonde. Overall, I loved the misti.

Subodh Chandra Mullick serves the classic North Calcutta Sandesh and other sweets matching Bengali taste bud. They are one of the oldest sweet shops in this area and kept their high quality for decades together. Like every premier sweet shops in this 'Misti Para' or sweets locality, Subodh Chandra Mullick has its own die hard followers who believe that it is the best.
In fact, some items like 'Manohora', 'Babu Sandesh', 'Parijaat', 'Dudh pooli' etc are unmatched. The sheer magic of Kolkata Sandesh has reached its zenith at Subodh Chandra Mullick. It has achieved the royal class quality in production of Sandesh & few other non-sandesh sweets at a more competitive price.
