Having lived for multiple decades in the city, it is astounding how I am still discovering new dishes in local bakeries and legendary outlets of the city!

Sarvi, one of the favourite pet joints for irani chai in the Banjara Hills area, surprised me with a new Egyptian dish called basbousa which I have never tried before! It is a semolina yoghurt cake dipped in syrup and taste absolute heaven! Recommendation came from the lady at the take away counter when I wanted to pick up one of the other regular sweet treats which were out of stock fortunately for me, for I would not have been introduced to this wonderful dessert otherwise.

Comes for just 30 rupees a piece, but is pure gastronomic indulgence!

Highly recommended for people to try this one out!
