Kannur Beach House is one of these rare places where you‘ll feel at home far away from home: A gorgeous and clean beach right in front of the estate - where most of the time we were the only one’s swimming - hammocks hanging in the surrounding palm forest to linger around and listen to all of these birds whisteling their melodies and of course warm and attentive owner Rosie and Nasir and their crew, who cook delicious and diverse food, eat with the guests and help with arrangements and needs.
I recommend everyone who’s considering to travel to the coast in Kerala: go to Kannur beach house and stay there longer than you planned! It’s paradise.

I had a wonderful stay here. The beach is kilometres long, golden, and usually completely empty. Locals and fishermen quietly get on with their daily business, the coconut trees are the tall, old-fashioned kind and birds of all types abound; the place feels timeless. The house itself is charming and old-fashioned, rooms are simple but all have outside space. The breakfasts and dinners that are eaten communally are home-cooked and delicious. Hosts Rosi and Nazir are interesting, kind and cosmopolitan people. It's not a resort but more of a retreat, a place for reading, walking, swimming, going to see a theyyam in the middle of the night, enjoying the company of fellow guests around the table and if you want to do more things like day trips, ayurvedic treatments and massages, etc Rozi will help you organise and is a fount of recommendations and ideas. A very special and unique place.
