Bhuvaneswari temple which is located on the north side of the palace is dedicated to Goddess Bhuvaneswari. Its built in similarity to most south Indian temples, with Dravidian style in 1951 by Jayachamaraja Wodeyar. It has a tall and flat incline which is quite wide.It also has a chola style gateway tower. Its said that Jayachamaraja Wodeyar handed over the temple with the copper Surya Mandala which is one of the main attractions at the temple. This mandala is offered special pooja at the temple on Rathasapthami festival every year. The temple also includes the statues of Lord Surya, Maha Vishnu, Maheswara, Ganapathi Rajarajeswari and Chamundeswari. The ambience here is quite soothing and provides a great spiritual feel.
