A very well kept palace worth taking the time to visit. Lots of local tourists, too.
The architecture is amazing. Lots of photo ops. The rose garden was in bloom and we could admire it from afar.
The upper sections will attract viewers who have to walk through barefooted.
Security checks at entrance and bags have to be screened. The personnel handled the crowds well.
On Sundays and public holidays the palace is lit up spectacularly from 7pm to 8pm making for good photo-op.

One of the best historical monuments/palaces I have ever seen. It is very neat and clean. They charge 100 rs per adult as entry fee and it's open from morning 10 am to evening 5:30 pm and then lights it up in the evening. It's amazing to see the architecture and the ways it is designed. You need around 2 hrs to visit it. One of the must visit places while you are in Mysore.
