Good place just for a stroll nothing less nothing more...
This place is like a gated community which used to be an erstwhile originally well maintained village now mostly converted into Home Stays giving out living experience in their community.

Awesomely well maintained and self sustained village. Inhabitants are friendly, they also have a market area to showcase and sell their native products.

Recommended to visit for all...it is an experience in itself and we should be proud and take away some learning from there.

The down side is visitors are charged 10/- for toilet and Tea costs 20/-

Beautiful home stays. Peacefully set up in the most sustainable and ultra clean environment. A must visit place in India. This is the cleanest village in Asia. I believe they are not dependent on anyone and take care of cleanliness by themselves. Village is quite famous for its cleanliness. Go for a night stay and get to talk with the locals , to understand how they are adapted to this clean habit, how is it has been incorporated into their culture itself.
No fancy restaurants but decent food will be available since many home based eatery options are available.

It was a lovely looking village. But extremely commercialized. It doesn't honestly look like village. There are very well laid roads. It is proper tourist location. You have home stays every direction you turn. Basically all houses are home stays as well. You have small restaurants as well. Though they have vegetarian food, it's not vegetarian friendly places. No good reviews on the food. We preferred having our food on the way back in a vegetarian restaurant. There is a bamboo bridge built as view point Bangaladesh from Mawlynnong village. It's good spot for pictures that costs you Rs.20 per person. Elders can also walk through that. It's pretty study one and only 4-5 people are allowed at a time. Not worth visiting as there are other villages that gives you clean village feel. This looks more like a well maintained garden with home stays all around.
