Beautiful place in Meghalaya, Dawki river separates the two districts (Garo & Khasi) of Meghalaya.Here the Garo & Khasi hills are connected with a hanging bridge. India-Bangladesh border is also an attraction to all visitors. There is a zero point(indicates with a stone) that is the last boundary of India. The water of the river is very clean in winter. Winter is the best time to visit the place.

Nov-May (probably non rainy season) is best time to visit. "Cleanest" river as claimed...worth to see it, indo-bangladesh border. Boating experience is exhilarating....took ticket from Umngot river tourism & development society
Need to do some off road driving from Pynursla to reach here....as construction of roads are going on...

It's at the border of India and Bangladesh. People living outside Meghalaya will surprise to know that on river side border is strangely divided and our Jawans are protecting it in all odds.

Coming to Boating experience, please book the ticket before coming down to Boating area, otherwise you might get caught with Bangladeshi boat. Better to book ticket just after you coming out of parking area. It was 800 per boat, not more than 3 people.

It's one of the cleanest river, in winter it's clearest. Boating experience on Dawki river one of the greatest tourist attraction of Meghalaya. In case you want some water sports as well and you are on tight schedule, i will recommend to skip this & go to Snopedang having same river with less restrictions.
