Let us start with what was Good
The food... It was amazing, all South Indian items we tried were tasty and well presented

However, probably because of Sunday and Father's Day the service was very very poor, I could see the staff running around clueless trying to do their bit but guess even they were under prepared. We probably waited for 1 hour before our items were served.

Their kitchen is on the Ground Floor and the restaurant on first floor, so it takes time and the items are not as warm as you expect.

Looks like it's a new place they need to work on the reviews and feedback received and work on it rather than taking it as a critisism

Absolutely amazing experience of the place. Anyday if I want to have South Indian food in Kolkata, I visit Southern Soul and every time the experience is amazing. I have tried various dishes in the restaurant and with each new dish I love them more.
The best thing is Southern Soul has a dynamic menu so that suits everyone.

Everything ranging from food till the ambiance was amazing!
The idli was tender and tasty.. a lot of variation in dosas and even chutneys!
And the place looked beautiful!
Must go and awaken your southern soul!
