Its one of the older metro stations . Located between Sovabazar sutanuti and M.G road metro.
Pros-
Clean and well maintained.
Ample ticket counters.
Good ventilation
Cons-
The staircase roof is low, in case you are 6ft you could bump your head while getting inside of the station.
Overall a good metro station with clean platforms with not so much crowd.

Girish park metro station is a metro station located in North Kolkata. clean and well maintained metro station. This station has only one escalator to go up from the station to the ticket counter but one has to use the stairs to get out. This station has 3 gates. The stations before and after it are Mahatma Gandhi Road Metro Station and Shobhabazar.

It's a busy station with quite a number of footfalls . It is well maintained in terms of cleanliness, smart card kiosks etc. But there are some major issues related to the steep stairs leading to exit from gate no 1 . It needs to be managed, particularly for elderly people and those with disabilities.
