Eau Chew is a family-owned restaurant famous for its unique Chimney Soup. A stroll around the area led us there.

An almost dilapidated building houses the restaurant struggling a lot to shine. As with any family run establishment, the ambience is moderate, and so is the hospitality.

Chimney Soup is made available with chicken pellets, egg poach, mid-sized prawns and some fish pellets. The uniqueness lies in the way it is served with a lighted "chimney" to keep it warm. The quantity is enough for four people.

At ₹800 a bowl, although the quantity is satisfactory, there is nothing unique in taste. Add that with hospitality (or lack thereof), they deserve two stars; however, the prawn pieces got themselves a star extra.

This is my first time and I must say the food are just amazing!! Their Chimney soup is a must order, I forgot the take a picture of that… too busy eating :) you can preorder for some special items.

It's okay kind of Chinese restaurant.. One of the oldest restaurant in the city... Ambience is not up to the mark.. Overall food quality is okay... But the price is on the higher side compared to the taste... But yes their "Chimney Soup" is really awesome... A must try dish if you visit there..
