Yes it’s a land mark . At least I am using it for the last 30 years as a direction to my house.From the morning it’s kinda gathering place for locals till midnight. Probably the oldest rikshaw stand is in front of this temple and if you are lucky then You can get a rikshaw to the Bankura Railway Station, 15 minutes journey . During summer people celebrate the yearly festival under it’s roof (Chobbis Prahar ).One thing you can observe all over the year, a big circle of people sitting and staring at the centre of it , yes they are playing cards and of course ordering tea from the nearby shops.

This place is very popular in this area. In summer Chabbis Prahor is organized there by hindus . In morning you can see there vegetables , fishes, groceries market. In the evening people of all ages come and gather , gossip, play card , sing etc. Overall this is center of patpur.
