This guest house has by far the best view of the Ganges waterfront - and most rooms have balconies. It is also ideally situated - being very close to the fascinating Manikarnika Ghat, and within easy walking distance of the main waterfront entertainment area. The rooms are good (comfortable bed, a/c, fan, hot water, screens on doors, secure) without being fancy. The host family are great and run a very good restaurant on site. It really is quite superb - a 5-star experience ... highly recommended.

This is an excellent and very homely guest house where the hosts cooked simple and delicious food themselves for us. Place is clean and comfortable and has a main attraction of an envious collection of very good books for its guests. Hosts are quite honest and genuinely try to look out for the guests welfare. I0/10 would recommend to everyone and I will go back there again soon.

Scindhia Guest House provided the best stay in the whole of my extensive India trip. Kush, the owner of Scindhia who hosts your stay is not only a great host but a kind and loving human being who goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The location of the guest house is perfect if you are looking to immerse yourself deep into the Kashi culture and experience the Manikarnika Ghat (The burning Ghats).
The price of our stay was affordable, hot showers are available on request, ceilings fans for the heat, comfortable beds with sheets and towels changed on request... and a view that will stay with you forever. This was by far the cleanest guest house that I encountered in India within our price range… Also, the wifi was great and allowed work to be done without any troubles during our extended stay.
We got really sick during our stay in India and Kush went above and beyond to make sure we got the correct medical help and even arranged medical services to come to the Guest house and always checked up on us. Thank you to Kush and his Uncle, and the House Boy who provided an unforgettable stay. I recommended this Guest house to everyone I met on my travels, and I would recommend it to you too :)
