A very good place but needs a lot of refinement. The audio visual displays are very good with a language selection. The movie experience is also very good, however having English subtitles would have been better. The AC was very inadequate for such big spaces and the seating arrangements should have had chairs. One can offer virtual lamps to the Ganga with lovely messages along with this offering. Overall a good place to visit. This place has no rest rooms

Located just at the banks of Dashwashwamedh Ghat. It is a very good place to visit. Often people miss this place when visiting Varanasi. Ticket price is Rs 25 per person. Do not miss the laser show inside. It is one of the best thing to see. Also you can find the observatory at the roof top. You can see a great view of Ganga river from the roof. Also there is a small museum and a small Jantar-mantar inside. Photography is allowed inside the observatory and museum.

This place is the most underrated place of Varanasi I think. Never heard about it anywhere.
It is just beside the Dasaswamedh Ghat, Banaras. It is well maintained. One cannot think from outside gate that how beautiful this place is..

How to reach here:
Take the Godowlia fourway and come straight towards "Brihaspati Temple". Ask anyone one for the way to take boats. Or people, who are providing that trip service will guide to the road.
It is a small lane.
The opening time for this observatory id 8am - 5pm. They have lasor show here regarding the "Ganga Utpatti". We watched just the 3nd part of the show.
Some artifacts are also there.

You can feel mesmerized with the rajasthani type palace design☺. They have devices set to measure sun direction and all other scaling devices on the terris of this beautiful observatory.

Main attractions-
1.Lasor show
2.Light room, where lights are decorated in the form of tree.
3.ofcourse the terris. You may get to tale pictures of many boat standing on the bank of the river.

I request you to do visit this place.
Entry fee -Rs25 per head.
