The garden was originally built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the 16th century and was later renovated by his grandson, Shah Jahan.
The garden is named Anguri Bagh, which means "grape garden," because it was originally planted with grapevines. The garden is surrounded by a high wall and features a central water channel with fountains. The water channel is lined with beautiful flower beds and trees.
The garden was used by the Mughal emperors as a place of relaxation and retreat. It is said that Shah Jahan would often come here to enjoy the beauty of the garden and spend time with his family.
