I am a customer of Design cafe and writing this feedback after using 4 months from the delivery.

Beforing confirming with DC i was in talk with almost all big/medium brand and individual interiors and found DC quote was most competitive with warranty hence we went with DC. We were also satisfied with there experience centre and varity. They used their own plywood with bwp in kitchen/ wet area and MDF in other areas.

We were satisfied with designer Mr. Ajay , he is calm person and gave good efforts to our work. We took 5 months , includiNg the phase of lockdown during second phase, to finalise overall design incluidng color combination . In Aug 21 we finalized all design and made the payment. As per the agreement it was expected to complete the work within 45 days , that means it should be completed within sept 21 .

But there was delay of 1months+ which was initially not communicated with us, after escalation we get to know.

The field supervisor Mr. Suresh is very helpful person and supportive person. We faced some medical emergency by which we were unable to supervise properly. He himself took the job , completed the maxiMum work, cordinated with builders , provided day to day status by whatspp / video call and least but not last provided good solutions where needed.

The work finally compelted on 1st week of Nov 21 and after that some small rectification work pending. After escalation the same were taken care by DC. After all this they finally handed over and warranty period started.

I am happy with their management as whenever we escalated , they resolved the matter at earliest. We also received 3 feedback calls after 1 month gap.

The one thing which i am not satisfied which is their finishing on master bedroom wardrobe. We can see the plywood on the edge of the sliding doors (first 2 pictures ) . The matter already mentioned in the feedback call and Mr suresh already did inspection. We were assured to recatify the issue but till now it is open. Hence providing 3 star, otherwise they deserved a genuine 4 star.

Very good experience in terms of professionalism in carpentry work. Lucky to have very good and hardworking employees like Anil & mukesh ( Carpenters), Ashok & Sandeep ( project managers). These people made my whole interiors look awesome with their dam professional skills and customer behaviour. But only thing which frustrated me is delay in execution other than that over all very good experience with Design cafe . I would recommend to others because of quality and standards followed in design cafe.

Thanks to people whole involved from design, installation, review phases.

Special thanks to Anil , mukesh for their dedication and creative ideas in carpentry. Ashok & sandeep for their calm and composure skills in handling the customer. Also thanks to Ganesh, Satish, abhilash, pallavi and venkatesh who assisted in the project. Special thanks to Raj( Operation head Hyderabad) for successful handover. Only request is to improve in terms of timelines which will cut short the delivery time.

The overall journey with DC has been a mixed experience. We started the project in Jan’22 and the project got completed in the month of Aug’22 (about 7 to 8 months from 1st payment to handover).

Design phase:
We had a lot of ideas and expectations, this being our 1st home, lots of things were running though are mind. While the engagement with the designer started off well and the first cuts came in promptly. As we kept asking for changes and were giving suggestions, we could see lots of gap in what was being shared vs what was being shared with us as designs.
These deliberations took a lot of time, as the turnaround time for incorporating the ideas into designs was beyond comfortable. (Just the finalization of the designs took about 3+ odd months.

Project Implementation phase:
The implementation was much faster than the designing process. It took around 3+ odd months from manufacturing, installation, and QC before handover.
Naveen the project manager responsible for the implementation, was very involved and made sure things were happening the right way. He made sure we were kept updated of all the progress. Also as, and when we needed if any minor corrections/changes were suggested by us it was made then and there.
Would also like to make a special mention of the carpenter Sanjay Sharma. Very good at what ever he does and works with customer satisfaction in mind.

Pros:
1) Quality of the material used seems good.
2) Implementation timelines were almost as promised.
3) Pricing is better as compared to others Home decor houses.

Cons:
1) Saw a lack of pro-activeness from DC during the design stage. (They could have done a lot better)
2) Installation by DC in house team vs 3rd Party vendors on behalf of DC.
While the DC team is very good, our home was majorly given to 3rd party vendors. And we could see the difference in quality of fitting and alignment.
3) Expected DC to have more hands-on feedback system in place. We were associated with DC for about 8 odd months, and we were contacted only 2 to 3 odd times for feedback.
