This cemetery belongs to the church of st Mary's in the fort George. In reality it appears to belong to no one such its state of neglect such is the state of neglect. Formerly know as English burial ground on the island. It is now accessed from pallavan salai ( old band practice road) one need to make a sharp left just after the bodyguard muneeswarar temple. Taking care not to get on to the over bridge.

Forgotten graves for British soldiers and officers who lived and died in British India.

Caught in the whirlpool of development of the city, this anachronistic relic of the past is as relegated to oblivion as much as people relegate death itself from their consciousness.
Viewed from the elevated metro trains, the length or breadth or depth is unassessable, looks only like a sea of graves extending from Park Town station to Pallavan workshop.
Said to be situated at the South eastern border of St. Mary's Church, under the control of St. Patrick's Church but maintained by St. Antony's Church!
