Place is magical.
The climb to the palace, especially the terrace was awesome, maybe a little challenging for elderly people. Windy, lovely view of the entire fort and surrounding mountains.
Walk on the massive 12km long grand walls is enjoyable. Bunch of beautiful Hindu and Jain temples within the fort.
The tickets can be booked online or paid in cash at the entry !!

This fort is really AMAZING, you could spend easily 2 days if you like to do trekking.
We would have love to walk around the whole wall but it is 36km long and only had 3-4h at this place and did not know if all part of the wall were in good condition.
But apparently you can see some wild life, we mainly saw monkeys, birds and cows
