A new Painting & Photography gallery of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum was inaugurated in 2015.
It contains many rare paintings, maps, layouts, books & pictures.

Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, was the most famous royal photographer.
His photographic equipment used in 1850-60s which is bulky, is on display.
There are many old portraits of women, royal guests, nobles & Jaipur city.
Many of these pictures were taken by the Maharaja himself.
It also includes 2000 glass plate negatives dating from the 1860- 80s.
