A horrible experience. We saw that rooms were available on their website. However when we visited there, the security refused it. He was extremely impolite and short tempered. The management should really consider replacing him with more polite ones if they want more customers. The road to reach it is also narrow, there isn't much parking space available on the weekends. Feel free to visit there if you want to be treated like trash by even the security guard ????

Just one word - Awesome!
Our stay at The Retreat was excellent. Rooms are spotless and clean, very well thought-through, extremely well-maintained, and functional. You have all that you need to go about your day happily. The place is very peaceful and you wake up to brilliant views of the sea. The staff is polite and dedicated, and always serve you with a smile. The food in their dining hall is to be pre-booked a few hours before they serve, to help avoid wastage. The food is homely and they take a lot of care to make you feel comfortable. We loved our time here.

Step out of The Retreat and take a walk on the Promenade beach and soak in the views of the lovely colorful buildings. Most prime spots such as the Aurobindo Ashram, the city market, etc are less than 10 mins walking distance. There are many good restaurants too nearby. KBS coffee, which serves excellent filter coffee n tea (many varieties) is in the same street as The Retreat.

The only challenge is that you need to book rooms at The Retreat fairly in advance as almost all rooms are booked by people many weeks in advance. However, even if you are trying a last-minute check-in, do speak to them to check for availability. If you get it, you will have the best stay!

Nice rooms available with sea facing balcony. Sea is just opposite the road infront. Complimentary breakfast available. Veg only. But it don't have a live restaurant. You need to order your food in advance.
