The owner is very kind and professional, she even helped us to book a taxi back to Chennai International Airport. The staff was helpful, especially Shiva who was often on duty in reception. ????
I was staying here with my husband for a week, but we felt it wasn’t really worth the money we paid for it. We paid for a Deluxe Room, but the room was both quite run down and not cleaned properly.
The damp patches in the walls, the overpowering smell of mothballs in everything, made us feel like it was an unhealthy place to stay. ????
I have severe allergies and I was often up coughing violently in the middle of the night. There was also building work going on right beside the house, and they start up super early and for us with jet lag it was really difficult to get a good nights sleep. ????
There were a few pluses tho.
The location of the guest house is perfect. Just a stone’s throw from Rock Beach and near to a lot of restaurants and bars. The croissant and fruit salad breakfast was also very good, no complaints there. We sat up on the rooftop for breakfast and had a nice view of the sea. ????????????

Very hospitable and good people. Liked the stay over here. Having AC in the rooms. Clean bathrooms. Good breakfast with fresh cut fruit salad, fresh juice, Croissant, toasted bread, butter, strawberry preserve jam and orange marmalade. Also served delicious coffee. Having good view of sea in terrace cafeteria. Only steps are a bit difficult for aged people. Except that everything very good. They allowed our pet dog also. Walkable distance to beach. Both owner and staff are very friendly. Enjoyed the stay over here.

1. As soon as i made the booking, I was asked to pay 50% of the tariff, else they would not hold the room for me. So there was no such thing as book now and pay later for this one. 2. While paying, I was offered the option to upgrade to a room with a view. I did. Then I was informed the only view available was street view from the balcony. As a result, I ended up not using the balcony at all. So, extra payment for nothing. 3. The so called sea view is just a corner on their top floor where you can see the beach through the railing. Almost not worth it. 4. I asked for a vegetarian, non-egg breakfast and i got a south Indian breakfast, the next day. 5. Internet fluctuated every few seconds. 6. The TV in my room was not working, I complained once then just put up with it. 7. There is no intercom in the room, which means if you need anything, you need to run down to the reception. They do share a mobile number but that is either not answered at all or answered by a woman who does not understand anything - just keeps saying hello, hello. 8. If you need your room cleaned, ask for it. If you need water, ask for it. Nothing is default here.

The only good thing about this place is that it is really close to the beach but overall, not worth the premium rates they charge.
