Good food, good ambience, friendly staff. Drinks are pricey, but food is cheaper than other hotels of the same class.

Menu is a bit limited, but there's a wide variety of cuisines - French, Creole, Tamil, Indian. Best of all, they will make you out-of-menu items. So if you want a simple fish fry or meat sautee, they will make it for you.

We visited the restaurant only, during the off-season.

Good place to stay with a colonial touch. Perfect location for a weekend and enjoy your french dishes in white-town. Explore more food in all the white-town restaurants. De Lorient is an old building and maintained good. Not an excellent one. The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful. Few issues noticed during my last weekend stay are 1) Light switch was broken and fell down as we tried to switch Off the light. Mats not provided, Tooth brush was not provided and we had to request for that.

Such a wonderful old world hotel close to the sea,you got enjoy the atmosphere of a building constructed inka 1700s - the almost 300 years ago it was good the painstaking restoration by the owners has paid off !! The central courtyard, where guests can dine ,is filled with delicious food, its yummy. The hotel was a relaxed vibe of a bygone and prompt.overall a place we'd love to go back to place..it was memorable experience.
I would highly recommend this place to stay.
