This was Bal Gangadhar's summer house which he purchased it from Ramlal Nandram Naik in 1890. It was here where press copy of his Gita Rahasya was prepared in 1915. Also in that year he met Gandhi.
In 1901 he completed writing his research work 'Arotic Home' in the vedas in the month of May and June.

The Sinhgad Fort of today was earlier known as Kondhana Fort or Kondana Killa.
Lokmanya Tilak’s bungalow is located on the fort Sinhagad. He used to stay here often and used it as a summer house. He wrote some books like Geetarahasya here. Gandhiji and Lokmanya Tilak met at Sinhagad during the freedom struggle. Whenever Gandhiji came to Pune, he drank the waters only from the Devtake at Sinhagad Fort.

Lokmanya Tilak is one of the most prominent freedom fighters in the Indian freedom history. And this bungalow is located deep inside the fort. Thus, it requires some amount of climbing inside the fort. But the house is well maintained from outside. It is one of the highlight points inside the fort and thus should definitely be visited.
