Tonight I’m going to write on this veterinary clinic. My male cat Hazel (I call him my boyfriend, my beta, my raja) has been sick and off food for last 4-5 days. All attempts made at feeding him something that he’d like to eat fails. Got worried and concerned, of course. So finally took him to a vet at Parel who prescribed some pills and syrup for him. But it got difficult to give him those.
So last night we took our Hazel to another vet but this lady sounded very commercial. She has a fairly big setup. Earlier I have taken my another feline cat Adaa to her, but the day my Adaa died, this lady refused to answer my ‘desperately seeking your help’ calls. But with no other recourse in mind, we took Hazel there. After a BIG list of tests and the cost alongside, we left from there. And suddenly, by the grace of the Almighty Lord, I remembered that there’s another vet Dr. Sanjeev very much here in this area, to whom we used to go during his early childhood days. Fortunately for Hazel, we were carrying his file too. So a quick leafing through the pages got us this vet’s number. Although Dr. was about to leave the clinic, he accommodated us to check and investigate Hazel.
Hazel looked so comfortable in his hands. It was as if Hazel knew him since long enough and he realised this doctor friend is going to save me. And Dr. Sanjeev was very loving towards him. He prescribed a few medicines and called us today morning for Hazel’s blood test and other PCR tests for pets virus.
We were called again in the afternoon as Dr. Sanjeev got the blood test report. He suggested we should start with his treatment without any further delay and also took some more blood to send it over to Chennai. Of course, all these tests and treatments is costing us A BOMB. 10 grands for this Chennai blood test. And saline treatment along with 1 steroid injection is 1k or so.
In short and in length, we owe it to our child Hazel all the love and care we can shower on him, who has been by our side for 13-14 years now. Please pray for his speedy recovery.
Thank you, Dr. Sanjeev and your team.
