Lighthouse within our city, sounds exciting right? Yes, this place looks exciting and is a peaceful retreat. The light house and area around is well maintained. The beauty about this place since it is not accessible it is less crowded.

There are particular timeslots to view the lighthouse but the view of the Arabian sea from the base is all the more gorgeous. There are permissions required and there is a fee also to see the lighthouse from close quarters.

But it is best to visit this place in the early morning as it is cool and breezy during this time.

This is one of the most beautiful spot in Uttan. It's kept very clean by the staff taking care of it and they are also very informative and helpful. It's fairly large area on a hill which offers spectacular view of the Arabian sea. Its at a such decent height and offers an Arial view of the fishing point where one can see hundreds of small and medium size fishing boats. If you want to get on to the light house tower then remember it's open only in evening from 4pm to 6pm. However you can also visit this place early morning to enjoy the morning breeze and roam around on the hill area. Best thing about this place is that it's very calm n you won't find too much of crowd here.

I generally ride to this place with my cycling group. Entire Manori to Gorai to Uttan stretch is just so beautiful. It's a Paradise for cyclist indeed.

It’s a beautiful place. However to visit the top, a prior permission needs to be taken from the officer. You can do that if you arrive early (before 12:00pm) at the spot. He will charge you nominal fees prescribed by the government of India. Do ask him (the officer)the details about the lamp used at the light house if you are a science freak. He will be happy to tell you a lot of details about it. Overall this place gives a birds eye view of the entire vicinity of Uttan and is one of my favourite spots in the area!
