This is the pay field owned and operated by the udiyanoor temple trust. The past field here is sown regularly and the harvest is used for nallthu the holy "prasad" which would be given to the devotees on the basis of their order. The past field has decreased in size over the years and has reached the bare minimum. The workers working in this field is given wages by the udiyanoor temple authorities. Every 3 years a mega festival is conducted here it's called in malayalam 'vayalile ulsavam' it occurs for 10 to 11 days with people in costumes trying to climb a gaint comical structure. Etc.. This this field has become a part of our culture and heritage.

A little bit of paddy cultivation in the town area. Only place where you can show it to younger generation.
