After descening the steps to the Trimurti temple complex, take the stone walkway by the side of the Mithranandapuram temple tank leading to the Brahma temple on the south-west corner of the tank.
It is the practice to have first darshan at the Brahma temple, then at the Vishnu temple, and lastly at the Maheswara temple. The temple has the rare distinction that here Brahma is the chief deity-- usually Brahma pratishtas are rare, and are often seen as a sub-deity.
The shrine has a Dravidian style tiered square sanctum, with a contiguously built 4-pillar Namaskara Mandapam-- an architectural rarity that dates back to ancient times. Ganapathy occupies pride of place on the south-east corner of the Sanctum. On the east side in the courtyard, there is a Nagar prathishta.

We went Eanchakkal - Padinjare kitta (West fort) and Perunthanni parked in front of hotel Ramas garden. Walked from a small bye lane direct to Brahma temple. Through the narrow lane to Vishnu, Shiva temples.
Gents are expected to remove upper garment so be prepared.
Temple compounds are narrow and roofs are short.
Prasadam is not given at all. Overall a palpable feel of neglect and mismanagement.

This temple located at the end of the small lane directly opposite the West Nada of Padmanabha Swamy Temple, dedicated to the thrimoorthies, i.e., Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara (Lord Siva) is one of the rate temples that has all the above three Lords within the same temple. I have not come across a similar temple in Kerala although it doesn't mean that there isn't one: it's just that I have not been to another thrimoorthy temple in Kerala.
Having read another review which states that the Brahma nada (main deity) should be prayed at first, I realised I had done it in the incorrect order. I think it's quite natural to commit this mistake because once you've descend the steps and continue clockwise, you'll first see the Siva Nada. Brahma nada is on the opposite side past the Vishnu nada. I don't think one needs to be so strict though, as it's more important to be mentally and physically pure, devoid of bad thoughts and feelings and sincere in one's prayers.
We went there around 10:30am and to be honest, we didn't even expect it to be open since it's not a major temple with huge crowds. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see it open, but no one other than the main priest was there.
It was very peaceful and we were able to pray to our heart's content. Wonderful experience.
