Even though all rooms are not open to public, it is still the best palace open to public.
Lot of precious collection, ivory, wonderful architecture, Chinese gifts, Belgium crystal lamps etc.
It is still under a trust and not under the government.
Entry fee is there and in addition, special charge of Rs 20 should be also given for photography outside.
Free guide is available.

Very beautiful place, they stored old historical equipment, things ,clothes used by kings.
So cool and calm.
They is entry ticket for this museum
Inside the museum, person is there to explain about things used by kings.
Actually they don't know English much
Explained in Malayalam little bit difficult to understand for us.
Other than everything is mesmerizing to see.

I liked the place very much. You can get tickets at the entrance. A guide will accompany you, usually a group and take you around the palace. The guide explains about the palace and the various articles used by the royal family. There are about 84 rooms, but only 24 rooms are open for public viewing. The rest are closed. It takes about 2 hours to see. The palace will be closed by 5:30 p.m. Ensure you are there by 3 p.m.
You can take photographs of the palace exterior with permission. No photography is allowed inside the palace. Also, no chappals are allowed inside. There is a separate place to keep them safely with a nominal charge.
Parking is limited inside. Around 8 to 10 cars.
