Among the few private sector insurance companies that survived the financial crisis of 2008. These companies were created by international insurance companies to enter Indian market along with a Indian partner. Though strategically planned go have a break even by 10yrs most of the players had to pull money out of the business to meet their international commitments as an aftermath of the 2008 crisis.

That churn led go exit of New York which was acquired by sun for a cheap amount and now operates as birla sun life .

Main products are stock options based growth plans and after initial boom, much of the retail investors burnt their money as valuation of their investments fell negative.

Birla sun was one firm that still managed to keep investor money in positive territory. Later shift to retirement and pension funds have had a slow start as Indians warm up to the concept of personal pension funds

Birla Sun Kollam remains at par with its peers n its own offices across India in quality of operations

Aditya Birla health insurance account I have never seen such a bad health insurance company I have taken insurance for last two years I have renewed the policy which expires on 15th of this month and at this time I am in hospital with a hospital case I am admitted in hospital due to dengue me says I will not get any claim
