One of the most beautiful temples in Mysore City , with marvelous polished black stone sculptures , which everyone interested in Art should visit. The excellently decorated pillars in the Navaranga deserve special mention.
It is located in the old Agrahara area, Ramanuja Road .
It is not a very ancient temple and was built under patronage of the Wodeyar dynasty only in the early 20th century. The entire architecture and sculpting was done by the celebrated ,(and revered by the kings ) Shilpi Siddhalingaswami Sculptor's workshop .
The temple is maintained very well and all pujas and festivals are observed in fitting manner.
its not in the list of popular Tourist Spots of Mysore . But is well worth a visit.
The priests do not allow photography within the temple .
