As all the other hotels were fully booked and we only had the option for a suite room here, we decided to book this place.
The room price was relatively lower compared to other hotels, given that it is a government property. However, the maintenance of the room was not up to par. Nonetheless, it served its purpose for a one-night stay.
On a positive note, the breakfast exceeded our expectations and the staff were extremely courteous.
I would recommend exploring other options before settling for a suite room at Mayura Hosala.

The location is fantastic. The hotel looks super premium from outside
However, the rooms are sub-standard.
The room service is not upto the mark. They take a lifetime to deliver even drinking water to the room.
(Check the image of the mirror and you'll understand better :) )
We booked a 4 bed AC room and the room stinks. Even after telling them multiple times no action was taken by the authorities. Not even a room spray was provided.
For the price that I have paid for this hotel, it is very disappointing.

This is a reasonably good state run hotel which can be booked online from the KSTDC website. It is a heritage hotel and has a garden,a restaurant, a bar and car parking facilities for guests. Food at the restaurant is good and cold beers are available in the bar.
There is a travel and tours division office in the hotel but the staff try their best to discourage tourists from booking their tours. They told us that they would operate a bus with a minimum of 8 people. We were two, and there were three other tourists keen to take their city tour. They did not take our booking but said that they would inform us if sufficient bookings were there. When we went back to the office in the evening, we were told that there were zero bookings and the tour was cancelled. Do they expect ten people to turn up simultaneously? I feel that they should do away with this division in view of the extreme apathy of the employees
However, as far as the hotel and restaurant staff are concerned, they are courteous and well behaved. The location of the hotel is also good
