Early morning shopping trips to Phoenix Market City, usually ends with a quick lunch at the food court or one of the specialty restaurants, before the crowds pour in.

One such visit we ended up eating from this new place that we noticed called Veg By Nature. Intrigued by an interesting menu, I picked a classy Palak Kichidi and wifey picked up a very Chola Poori (very chennai) style, Chole Bhature.

The single Bhature was huge and freshly made, super hot, it was the quintessential Chola Poori, which has more wheat than Maida & looks more brown than white. The white Channa instead of the black Chole is reminiscent of the Madras Chola Poori too. It was a very delicious one, same as the version you get in Airlines Hotel, in the city.

The super hot Palak Kichidi was smoky, and earthy with a beautiful garlicky flavour that made it very enjoyable.

Washed it all down with a delicious yet a bit sour Lassi.

This place is superb for a quick bite, and rightly spiced and priced too. This wasn’t our only visit and we did return for their Chola Poori.
