A good vegetarian restaurant at Contractor's Area in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. When I saw this little dining place from outside, I wasn't sure what to expect from it. However, it turned out to be a good experience.
The menu boasts of a large variety of items, from North Indian to South Indian, (Indo) Chinese and even the (Indo) Italian Pizza.
We tried 2 kinds of starters - Crispy fried baby corn and pan fried veg dimsum (a.k.a the humble Momos) in Garlic sauce. Though the starters lacked the zing of typical Indo Chinese food, they were decent enough to encourage trying out other such items on the menu.
For the main course, we ordered Veg Jalfrezi, Kadhai Paneer, Onion Kulcha, Butter Naan, and Roti. All items except Veg Jalfrezi were good. Veg Jalfrezi lacked the wow factor and character. Too much of beans and lack of taste spoiled this dish.
The highlight of the dinner were Kulchas and Naans. They were definitely one of the best I have eaten in this part of the country.
Prices seemed a bit on the higher side (compared to prices in big, metro cities). A complete dinner with family may cost between Rs.350 to 500 per person.
Ambience and crowd was decent so this place is suitable for family dinners. Recommend this place.
