It's a man maid pond and looks like an amphitheater. However, there was no water when I visited. The surroundings were good and well-liked maintained.

Lots of monkeys everywhere. There was space to have a leisurely walk, but coming out in the open didn't appear safe. It's not Surajkund season and that could be the reason.

Used as a water resource untill the British came, this kund/ pool is the name behind the Surajkund. It once was the reservoir to meet the water need of the surrounding area.
Curved to the East to pay respect to the rising sun it's named Surajkund- The Pool of Sun as the Tomars, who built it around 10th CE were sun worshippers.
The lake has dried up and we were 15 minutes late; the closing time is 6pm, so we couldn't visit it. However the vastness of the site was visible from the road and I was impressed my the 6 acres of it, with stone steps built of HUGE stones surrounding the lake like some amphitheatre of Romans, complete with a ramp and a sort of seat perhaps for the king?
The entire structure gave an ancient vibe of being at some historical archeological site.
I wish, I was 15 minutes early.
But then, it gave me a reason to visit it again for sure.
