Manikarneswar Devalaya Archaeological Site
This brick built temple was raised during the reign of Ahom King Swargadeo Rajeswar Singha (c. 1751-1769 C.E.) in c.1755 C.. on a star-shaped ground plan of a stone temple stylistically datable c. 10th - 11t C.E.

Very beautiful place, just few kilometres away from IIT campus.

Natural place. The temple is not maintained well. I have visited the place two or three times and each times there were no people arround. Surrounding view is great. You can bring two wheeler vehicles to the top of the temple. Nearby landmark- Bamboo Bridge which currently is broken and unrepaired.
