It's one of the Ahom era historic places that I visited. They have entry fees for both Indians and foreigners. The place is well maintained and clean in some spots and completely ignored or deteriorating in others.. However there is zero knowledge sharing about what the structures are or were used for?

Thankfully my friend was able to share whatever she knew being local. The canons kept at the entrance were the only highlight!

Access to some areas has been closed by putting random wooden planks. Could be handled much better.

Sad to see such a Historical place of Ahom Dynasty is not being maintained properly. The authority must take adequate steps to install some lights in the ground floor where sun light barely enters. Must visit place to relive the Glorious days of Ahom Dynasty.

Well it's a historical place ,so yeah definately worth check it out. Not maintained properly but yeah it's bear more stories compared to other ones. Ask the guide to tell the stories he will tell too many stories. And the best part is it won't cost you any penny !! So for 25 rupees its a good deal.
