taken by Edmund William Smith in 1893, from the Archaeological
Survey of India Collections. The city of Fatehpur Sikri was built
by the Mughal Emperor Akbar (r.1556-1605) between 1571 and 1585.
This is general view of Daftar Khana (Record Office) which is a
small room with a large open projecting window which was Akbar's
jkoroka; where he daily made a public
appearance.
