Must visit if you are around. Kohima and Imphal are full of WW2 history. Indians fought with British too. And offcourse INA fought with Japanese. Netaji expected Indians to lay down their weapons once they see Indian soldiers on the other side but unfortunately that didn't happen.

Apart from the traditional tribal architecture and galleries. The Naga Heritage Village also has a World War II Museum located within the complex in Kisama, near Kohima. It is a well curated museum with numerous artifacts and illustrations on the Battle of Kohima and also on Indian National Army.

It probably would have been better to visit during the time of the festival when members of the various tribes would have been present and we were able to see the performances that they put on along with exhibits of artwork, carvings, sculpture, etc. Nevertheless it was lovely to wander around undisturbed and use our imagination.

The world War 2 museum at Kisama heritage village is unique by it's name itself. It's located near to the kohima town in Nagaland on National Highway 2 at Kisama heritage village. We happen to be there during our visit to Hornbill festival 2022. I liked the place.
