When here today when the hornbill festival is not going on. Not a great sight to see with used plastic cans, beer bottles, used paper plates lying all over. Here every tribe has its own hut where they showcase about their lifestyle and culture. There is a centre stage as well. Washrooms are present and I have seen many stalls there which are currently lying vacant and the place is completely abandoned now. Only few local people cooking food, playing songs on speaker and enjoying among themselves.

It's unbelievable the way it's organised. The entire heritage arena comes to life for those 10 days of the Hornbill Fest. One needs to be here to believe it. Every nook and corner is prepared with more than 100% involvement.
Be it the cultural displays of the tribes or the foot thumping vibes of the rock bands or so many eating places with free flowing Rice Beer and local wines to the many stalls selling the local produce to souvenirs... Everything is just too enticing.

This place has a cultural village houses of 17 different tribes of Nagaland. Each model houses shows their way of living, tools they use for hunting, the dolls they play with. Although this place has a lot of cultural value, it is poorly maintained. I think this place will glow only during the hornbill festival
