A beautiful place. New town library is a clean and tidy place. You can visit and read books. One day visit will cost you 20 Rupees. You need to be a member to borrow books from the library. You can visit library to collect forms or you can visit their website.

Excellent place, with the new library being the highlight. Restrooms are kept meticulously clean, and decorum and silence is maintained ( more often than not, but this is Kolkata, so we should not look gift horses in the mouth ). The place has a ambience that is far from the madding crowd. The small museum dedicated to Kobi Nazrul is interesting, and the movie halls are very nice, with some really small intimate theaters and one large one.
