The West Bengal Forest School, Dow-Hill was established in 1907 as a training center for forest personnel of the rank Deputy Ranger/Forester. Since its inception many foresters from West Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan and other North East States have passed from this esteemed institution. Located on the lap of mother nature , Dow-hill which always plays hide and seek in the fog. Though Dow-Hill is notoriously famous as haunted place but we the people residing here have never experienced such paranormal activities. All those haunted stories seems just an excuse for people from all over to come to Dow-Hill and enjoy its pristine nature.

Way to go to West Bengal Forest School Downhill, by public transportation you have to reserve sit in traker or Tata Sumo from Darjeeling more, or nearby place of Siliguri Junction. It costs around Rs-80 to Rs-100 upto Kurseong. After that no need to reserve Maruti Omni or any car if you have emergency or in hurry. Go to stand and spend Rs-25 to go DFO Office, Kurseong Division. Then you have to walk around 2Km to reach WBFSchool, Downhill. Remember that 2km walking may feel treacherous in uphill.
