A decent place to have lunch/dinner and try some authentic Bengali foods.
Though the restaurant may not seem fancy, but the quality of food is the best here. The food concept is just like any normal bengali restaurants serving local meals which you will find through out the city. But here I found the food to be far better than any other places where I had tried earlier.
I went there for dinner and tried Chana masala, aloo dum with rumali roti. Aloo dum was just awesome.
Overall it was good and I was satisfied with my dinner.

This smallish 'bhaater hotel' right opposite of the Sulekha store at the Sulekha crossing is one of my favourite bhaater hotels in the city!
Have been eating here on and off since 2014, and can definitely recommend this place for the quality and the quantity of the of the food.
The fare is regular bhaater hotel fare, with different types of fish preparations available and the vegetable preparations change daily based on what is available fresh in the markets.
The Navratan vegetable is highly recommended.
A full 6 course meal for 2, with fish would cost between 400-500.
Bhaater hotels form an integral part of the food culture of the city, and I hope they get as much attention as their more fancy counterparts.
