It's very unfortunate that this great persons's half bust statue is in such a place that it is hardly possible to notice . Located in the Middle of a busy road Ilke jessore road , there should have been little thoughtfulness in the placement other the statue .
More over there his statue is lying barely open under the sky .
Why is so disrespect ? He is a pioneering personalities of the early days of free India .
No mention of the sculptor , no proper information no proper lighting arrangement after dusk .

Though all things is ok, but it get 2 star only due to poor maintenance. It's located b/w two way road, near Belgachia crossing in front of Belgachia tram depot.
About Maulana Abul Kalam Azad,you know. He was one of the most influential independence activists during India’s freedom struggle. He was also a noted writer, poet and journalist. He was a prominent political leader of the Indian National Congress.
Despite being a Muslim, Azad often stood against the radicalizing policies of other prominent Muslims leaders.
Azad was the first education minister of independent India. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was posthumously awarded ‘Bharat Ratna’, India's highest civilian honor.
