This place is hardly 10 years old . Primarily there was only one exit poin from bangur at jessore road end . Owing to increased volume of traffic and vehicles one new channel on the left flank from jessore road end has been created . One great grand banyan tree had to cut mercilessly to make one entry point .
This sculpture is hardly 5 years old . Created according to one famous water colour painting . The painting was about the "QUIT INDIA " movement . The original picture depicted a unique blending of GANDHI'S all out call , irrespective of caste and creed . The first figure was of "MAHATMA" , followed by Matangini Hazra , one Muslim one Hindu one Sikh, one person clad in south Indian dress , one common man ; hesitating to join the movement , one tired down trodden . Total of 8 persons . Made of synthetic grass . Not well illustrated . Needs more careful maintainance . Most prominent land mark . Should have been better equipped with the informations.
