Palta Railway Station is the railway station in the town of Palta. It serves the local areas of Palta in North 24 Parganas District.
The platform is not very well sheltered. It has many facilities including water and sanitation. There is no proper approach road to this station.

Nice sub urban town out side Kolkata. All the nessasary facilities are available ( Schools, Hospitals, Connectivity to the city )
Palta Station situated in Shildaha main line in-between  Barrackpore and Ichapur station. Now 12 compartment train can stop here as the platform has been extended. Total 4 platforms are there. One of the busy railway station with lots of Trees i side platform Palta railway station comes into Sealdah railway division which consists of 4 platforms.

Only local train saree stop there no passenger and express train stop there.

Palta is very famous for the the Durga Puja festival..I live inside the airforce barrackpore camp that is near by palta station if I go to station i always choose palta station because it is quite near by camp. Very few galloping train stops here. The footfall of this railway station is average neither too congested nor too empty.There are 2 ticket counters one is near the plaform no. 4 and one in platform no. 1.Palta is the nearest railway station(500m) to iaf recruitment station, Barrackpore. Been here for my iaf physical and medical exam dated 20 nov. 2018 and 30 jan. 2019 respectively. Hotels are rarely available here. You ll get a laudge here for 150-200 rs /day. Nice and calm place .Ticketing staff are not at all well mannered. Also, a lady staff (donno her designation) is so rude, she even used wrong words even when the fault was from their side.

Today, on April 24, 2022, around 11:45, I went to buy a ticket to sealdah today, gave a 10 rupees note, but the ticketing staff said that he can't give the ticket as the note got some ink on it. He even started saying that the bank will also not take the note and refused to give me the ticket. I had to return to my home that time, so I took the note and gave another one for the ticket.

The issue is, why he refused to take the note? Is Indian Railways gave the authority to refuse that type of note or gave him and his colleagues to misbehave with a passenger?

I will definitely send an email to Indian Railways as well as RBI to resolve this type of inked note issue and refusal of an on duty central govt staff, also I will lodge a complain against the staff of Palta Railway Station about their behaviour to IR.General place, I will give you accurate information on your YouTube channel, how does society, administration, government, village, city, everything look like in our country, it's a bit late, I'm very busy with work.A nice clean and small sub-urban station just after Barrackpore. Has four platforms, platform 1and 3 being mostly used for UP trains and 2 and 4 for down trains. Though it is not a major halt but most of the Sub-Urban trains for Sealdah North Division stop here.
