This view from the bridge never gets old, no matter how many times do I give this place a visit. A lovely spot without a doubt. Also acts as a connector from Vip Laketown to Saltlake City.

This, the Laketown FootBridge, connects VIP road with the Saltlake area.
One can use this as an shortcut to go there. Also, ofcourse, to cross the road.
It has a great view from up above the road. The below pic is shot from the bridge.
Elderly people might find it difficult to climb up the stairs, and there is no Lift option. However, there is slope in one side.
There is rickshaw stand in Saltlake for the Footbridge, and it helps in further travelling.
For example for going to CC1, instead of taking Ultadanga route, you can cross VIP road with the Footbridge, and then from the rickshaw stand you can take a rickshaw to CC1 which costs Rs. 35. A bit more, but much less time consuming.
It's not shaky at all because it's made of concrete. However, at night, it's dark at some areas. Proper lights aren't provided at some areas.
It's very popular too, many people use it in their daily life.
Overall, it's great.
