Worst doctor they treat like all are same patients and all have same disease and all are mbbs students no senior doctors.... I went there for 1 year but situation got worst instead of getting improvement..... Don't go there if you have any chronic disease

As this is OPD, you have to wait in a long queue to get your ticket. If you're visiting for the first time tell the counter guy your name & age & your medical condition as asked(ticket rs 2 for first time). If you're visiting again , please do bring your previous prescription and show it at the counter(ticket rs 0 in some case).

Counter opens at 9.00 am but approx waiting time in queue is about 1 hour depending on the crowd.

Suggestion: If you stay nearby go as early as you can to get in the queue .
Or you can attempt your chance around 12pm. Counter closes at 2 pm.

After getting your ticket approximate wating time in the waiting hall is about 30 mins to 1 hour. If you will hear your name & room number in the speaker, then go for it. Please do not ask in the OPD Chambers whether your turn has come or not , the doctors get distubed for this.

Staffs are friendly. But as this is OPD, everything is done in haste. Sometimes you don't get referred to senior doctors , if the junior doctors don't think so.

Don't go for foods across the road on the footpath. Bring your own food . Water is available. Or you can buy bottled water.

This is the best Department for Liver disease / Gastroenterological diseases in West Bengal. It is called SDLD - School of Digestive and Liver Diseases. Best doctors & best facilities in a Govt setup hospital. Both Gastro Medicine and Gastro Surgery department are present here.
