It's a small station between sealdah barasat bangaon line. All local train halt here. There are no express train runs in this route. Some food stalls are in the station premises. Ticket counter is only on the platform no 1. There is management of drinking water and toilet on the platform. Durganagar Railway Station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station in Durganagar. It's code is DGNR. It serves Durganagar areas. The station consists of two platforms. The platform is not very well sheltered. It lacks many facilities including water and sanitation.

Durganagar is located on Sealdah–Hasnabad–Bangaon–Ranaghat line of Kolkata Suburban Railway. Link between Dum Dum to Khulna now in Bangladesh, via Bangaon was constructed by Bengal Central Railway Company in 1882–84.The Sealah–Dum Dum–Barasat–Ashok Nagar–Bangaon sector was electrified in 1963–64. Kinda city, kinda village, calm population, station needs announcement mics at least, and drains need to be covered most of the places. From this station you can go to bongaon or basirhat....apart from this you can go to Bally or dakshineswar via belghoria expressway(just 10 mins walking distance)♥️♥️♥️.The Calcutta Airport (NSCB International Airport) is located within 2 kms. Regular ₹10 per head shared Autorickshaws run from the station to the Airport. Kindly avail for the cheapest mode to reach the same.Overall Not a chaotic place. Quite well and tidy. The locals are very much helpful and humble.
1 ( only one ) small ticket counter situated on platform no - 2 (two).
No toilet facilities for women.
No latrine.
But the atmosphere is quite healthy because of the locals. Few Mandirs present, the Aartis and the fragrant smell of agarbattis make the small station feel good.
Autos available to Airport Gate No 1 costs each man approximately ₹10 (year -2022 ).
Very helpful for people who want to go to Kaikhali or Chinar Park.. Or even Eco Park or SaltLake Sector V (5).
