A fine dining restaurant, courtesy Swissotel.
With an Indian cuisine in menu, Durbari aims to bring some signature authentic Indian food on your table. There are options of both a-la-carte and "set" menu. Its a bit different from a buffet. Set menu was priced at 1500++ per person for veg and 1800++ for non-veg.
We went for the a-la-carte and ordered the following:
1. Vegetarian Kebab Platter - With a mixture of Dahi Kebab, Bharwan Aloo, Paneer TIkka an Hariyali Ankur ki Kebab. All the items in the platter tasted good. I personally liked the Paneer Tikka and Dahi Kebab. Rest were okayish.
2. Jumping to the main course, we ordered their signature dishes, Subz Bahar, Dal Durbari and Paneer Durbari for the veggies and Swiss Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan and Masala Kulcha for the breads.
ALL the veggies tasted perfect, especially the Dal Durbari. They served the dal in a bowl, which is seldom found anywhere else. The breads were also crispy but burnt in most of the cases.
Special Mention: Some of our guests joined in later and we asked the waiters to warm the remaining veggies a bit. But they brought back extra veggies (all of them) so that they can devour the veggies whole-heartedly. This was an amazing gesture. Thanks to Durbari.
The ambience and staff are both great. Slow music being played to soothe your ears. They have a choicest selections of both imported and domestic wines. Very overpriced given the fact that a plate of biriyani costs over a 1000 bucks. The overall experience was great, given the soothing ambience and staff courteousness.
