Birati Railway Station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station in Birati. It serves the local areas of Birati and Nimta in North 24 Parganas District. It lies between the Durganagar Railway Station and the Bisharpara Kodaliya Railway Station. Madhusudan Banerjee Road connects the Barrackpore Trunk Road and Jessore Road through Birati.

Platform 1 is used for the down local trains heading towards Sealdah Railway Station and Platform 3 is used for the up local trains heading towards Bangaon Junction railway station. Platform 2 is used for goods trains and its not generally used for local trains.

The station is well connected to the Birati Mini Bus Terminal. Autos and totos are available from Belgharia to Birati through MB road. One of the good station between Sealdah to Hasnabad and Bongaon route. Station premise is crowded but clean & Safe. A lot of stalls are inside. People can get tea, coffee, snacks and breakfast items here easily. Station is beside Uttar Dumdum Municipality Building. “The British Institute”  is situated near platform no. 3. Busy station.

And trains coming from Sealdah stops at platform number 3.
Platform number 2 is for goods train and ticket checking train.

Platform 1 is used for the down local trains heading towards Sealdah Railway Station and Platform 3 is used for the up local trains heading towards Bongaon Railway Station. Platform 2 is used for goods trains and its not generally used for local trains.
