Sri Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was known as Babasaheb. He was born at Mhow in Central Provinces on 14th April, 1891. He did BA and MA from Bombay University, MA, PhD from Columbia University, MSc, DSc from London School of Economics, Gray's Inn (Barrister-at-Law). He defended for socio-economic improvement welfare of the outcasts. He published many periodicals. He played an active role against untouchability. He fought against social discrimination towards the untouchability. He was the chairman of the Constituent Drafting Committee. He was the first Law Minister in charge of independence India. He was awarded the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1990 for Dalit Rights Movement. He converted into Buddhism. He wrote "The Buddha and His Dharma." He argued for creating separate electorates and reservation for outcasts. He was a great jurist, economist, politician and social reformer. He died on 6th December, 1956 in Delhi.
